In a letter to parents Tuesday, Deptford school Superintendent Kevin Kanauss said the matter involved the PTOs for the Central, Pine Acres, and Shady Lane schools.

The Montgomery County school is set to educate about 350 students at what was formerly the Butler Pike headquarters of Emergency Care Research Institute sometime in 2026.

The board of trustees has not yet voted on the plan. The seven campuses currently proposed for closure are Dubois, Fayette, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Shenango, Wilkes-Barre, and York.
