About the Soul: The Soul is doing what the Flyers could not this weekend: playing in Pittsburgh . . . It has won three in a row, and quarterback Dan Raudabaugh is the biggest reason why. Three weeks ago against Orlando, Raudabaugh completed 20 of 22 passes. Last week against Iowa, he had a season-bets nine touchdown passes . . . Tiger Jones needs two touchdown catches to break Larry Brackins' team record of 90. Jones had five TD grabs last week.
About the Power: Has lost two in a row and is in a three-way tie with the Soul for second place in East Division . . . Pittsburgh fired head coach Derek Stingley after one game this season and replaced him with Ron James . . . Pittsburgh (4-14 last year) picked up quarterback Tommy Grady and wide receiver Aaron Lesue in the dispersal draft when Utah dissolved. Grady, a former MVP, is fourth in the AFL with 32 touchdown passes. Lesue was leading the league in receptions, but ripped up his right knee last week and could be gone for the season.
Poll position: The Soul is ranked fifth in the weekly coaches poll, one spot behind Pittsburgh. Arizona, Cleveland and Spokane are 1-2-3.
Up next: The Soul hosts New Orleans next Saturday at 6 p.m.
