Brothers charged in double stabbing in Maple Shade

Franklin Sandoval Avila, 22, and Marco Veletanga Sandoval, 18, both of Maple Shade, also have been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
The stabbing occurred around 2 a.m. at the Fox Meadow apartment complex outside of a unit where the victims live.
Daniel Tapia, 31, was stabbed in the neck, face and abdomen, police said. He was in stable condition Monday at Cooper University Hospital. Pedro Tapia, 27, was stabbed in the abdomen but released from Cooper by Monday, police said.
Franklin Sandoval Avila and Marco Veletanga Sandoval were taken to the Burlington County Jail on a $250,000 bail. - Michael Boren
