A brief on the front of yesterday's Business section incorrectly stated the time period involved when Alesco Financial Inc. paid fees to Cohen & Co., its outside manager. Alesco paid more than $48 million in management and investment transaction fees to Cohen & Co. during 2006.

An article in yesterday's Inquirer about a government motion to disqualify defense lawyers in the forthcoming trial of State Sen. Vincent J. Fumo (D., Phila.) erred in stating that prosecutors did not try to disqualify James C. Schwartzman, the attorney for former Fumo aide Leonard P. Luchko. Prosecutors filed such a motion last fall. U.S. District Judge William H. Yohn Jr. denied the motion Nov. 13.
