S. Jersey man sentenced for killing his roommate
A 52-year-old New Jersey man who confessed to killing his roommate was sentenced last week to at least 17 years in state prison, according to Camden County prosecutors.
William A. Clark III, of Audubon, shot and killed 38-year-old Steven Johnston following an argument on Jan. 31, 2015, in their apartment on the 400 block of South White Horse Pike.
Clark immediately called police and told the dispatcher that he had shot Johnston in the head, prosecutors said. He surrendered to police upon their arrival.
He was charged with Johnston's murder in February 2015, but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in October.
