Cops: 5 Occupy protesters arrested during demonstration
Five members of the Occupy Philadelphia movement were arrested for defiant trespassing Wednesday afternoon during a demonstration at a Center City bank, police said.
Five members of the Occupy Philadelphia movement were arrested for defiant trespassing Wednesday afternoon during a demonstration at a Center City bank, police said.
The demonstration kicked off shortly after 1 p.m. at the Conestoga Bank on Market Street near 18th, according to police, and a group of protesters were inside the bank, flanked by more who were demonstrating outside.
Police said around 4:30 p.m. that they arrested three men and two women who were a part of the demonstration for defiant trespassing. They were taken to the 9th Police District, headquartered at 21st and Hamilton streets, for processing.
