Investigators have recovered the SUV allegedly used in a fatal hit-and-run last night in Kingsessing.
Police earlier tonight found the vehicle, a black Ford Edge with chrome details, in an underground parking garage at 16th Street near Arch in Center City, according to a source in the Accident Investigation Division.
An attorney representing the woman who was allegedly behind the wheel of the SUV during the crash at 57th Street near Litchfield has been contacted by detectives, the source said. The woman, 27, is expected to meet with police sometime tomorrow.
She is considered a person of interest in the crash, which claimed the life of a 4-year-old boy who the source identified as Abdul Wilson.
Wilson darted between two parked cars onto 57th Street about 6:30 p.m. and was struck by the Edge, as seen in surveillance footage reviewed by the Daily News.
Witnesses tried to chase down the SUV as it sped away, but were ultimately unsuccessful.
