A double shooting in West Philadelphia has left one man fighting for his life, police said.

Just after 5 p.m., officers found two men, both 22, shot in a parking lot on Fairmount Avenue near 49th Street, Capt. Jacqueline Bailey Pittman said.

One man was shot multiple times in his back and chest, and was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he remains in "very critical" condition, Bailey Pittman said.

The other victim was also taken to HUP, where he's being treated for a gunshot wound to his foot. He's in stable condition, Bailey Pittman said.

There is no information on a motive or a suspect, but initial ballistic evidence indicates three shots were fired from a semi automatic weapon, police said.
