Police: Shooting in Kensington leaves two hospitalized

Two men were hospitalized Friday afternoon after they were shot on a street in the heart of Kensington.

Police said the men were on Indiana Avenue near Boudinot Street shortly after 2:30 p.m. when someone opened fire on them, wounding one of the several times and the other once in the right thigh.

Both were taken to Temple University Hospital in private cars and listed in stable condition shortly after the shooting, police said.

Police did not immediately have information on the men's ages and had not made any arrests in the shooting as of 4 p.m.
