As expected, the Eagles have promoted offensive lineman Dallas Reynolds from the practice squad to the active roster, following the season-ending ACL tear suffered by center Jamaal Jackson. Jackson has officially been placed on IR. He is expected to be examined by Dr. James Andrews in Alabama, with Andrews deciding when to operate.

The Pro Bowl rosters will be announced at 7 p.m. Here is your Eagletarian's take on how various Eagles might fare.

Should make it: Kicker David Akers, corner Asante Samuel, wideout and returner DeSean Jackson, defensive end Trent Cole.

Should make it, but might not: Corner Sheldon Brown, who might be a victim of Samuel's impressive interception total. Center Jamaal Jackson. Quarterback Donovan McNabb, in a banner year for NFC quarterbacks. Tight end Brent Celek, who might play the conference's most star-studded position.

Might make it instead of somebody who really deservers the berth: Left tackle Jason Peters. Peters has played pretty well down the stretch, and left tackle is not a position of strength in the NFC. A month ago I would have put Samuel in this category, but hey, he keeps picking off the passes.
