Set to take place Sunday, April 24 at 3 p.m. in the Penn Museum's Harrison Auditorium, the event will center on a discussion of the Roots percussionist's latest book. Titled Something to Food About: Exploring Creativity with Innovative Chefs, the work serves as a behind-the-scenes look at the creative processes of respected chefs around the country.
Previously, Questlove, real name Amir Thompson, released Mo' Meta Blues: The World According to Questlove — a New York Times bestseller. He is currently working as a producer on the hit Broadway musical Hamilton in addition to serving as bandleader to the Roots on The Tonight Show.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and run between $85.39 and $159.24, with the higher price denoting a VIP package. Attendees who purchase VIP tickets will be invited to meet Terry Gross and Questlove in a VIP reception prior to the interview. A one year membership to WHYY is also included as part of the VIP package.
