Jennifer Esposito recently published a memoir in which she writes about a particularly destructive relationship she found herself in a few years back, calling the man in question "funny, smart, cocky, arrogant and a master manipulator." As it turned out, she was talking about everybody's favorite hometown boy, Bradley Cooper.
As the NY Daily News describes:
She describes the mystery suitor as, "funny, smart, cocky, arrogant and a master manipulator," adding that she didn't "necessarily find him that attractive." They quickly became a couple, although the actress says her boyfriend had a "mean, cold side" and "his personality could flip on a dime."
Esposito claims the relationship was an unhealthy one, focused primarily on his needs and nothing else and that she was "a nonissue." Esposito also writes that she felt "sidelined" from her own health and needs.
A cursory IMDB search reveals that, yes, Esposito is indeed referring to Cooper in her memoir—a bit of info bolstered by Esposito's admission that she attended a Agape International Spiritual Center seminar in 2007, the year she and Cooper split. At that time, Esposito writes that she "became very sad and felt very alone." The pair were married from December 2006 to May 2007.
Cooper has yet to address the accusations, and Esposito appears to have moved on from their involvement, recently having opened a gluten-free bakery. So, you know, it's pretty clear who won out in this situation.
