The festivities are set to kick off Saturday, Oct. 24 at Lincoln Financial Field, with more than 50 participating shops, a cheesesteak eating competition, and a record-breaking, 450-foot steak to ogle. It is largely considered to be the city's first-ever major cheesesteak-centric festival.
Tickets for the festival are available now, and run $20 to $60 a pop. The $20 option gets you into the festival, while a $40 option includes 10 steak samples and a free T-shirt. The $60 "Works" tickets have sold out.
Other entertainment at the first Philadelphia Cheesesteak Festival includes carnival games, live music, shopping, and, naturally, zip line and mechanical bull rides.
