Samuelson's dinner will come from the pages of Marcus Off Duty - relaxed dishes that he serves in his own home for his wife and friends. Samuelsson - born in Ethiopia, raised in Sweden and made famous in the U.S. - will sign cookbooks, too.

Carroll, by the way, has been working for him.

VIP reception starts at 6 p.m. and dinner commences at 7 at Le Meridien, 1421 Arch St. VIP tickets are $180; dinner is $150.
