Big chill gives way to 60 by Wednesday
This morning's dangerous cold -- it was still just 21, with a windchill of 10 at 8 a.m. -- will last just one more night.
Today's high should barely top the freezing mark, and temperatures should drip to the mid 20s overnight.
A Code Blue emergency was in effect overnight, allowing officials to move vulnerable people off the streets. To alert authorities to anyone at risk outside in the cold, call the Code Blue hotline at 215-232-1984.
Tomorrow's high, however, could top 50, and Wednesday's could reach 60 degrees, according to National Weather Service.
Rain is possible tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. Snow could make another appearance Thursday, as the temperature cools again, with highs Thursday and Friday in the 40s.
