Using taco sauce instead of ketchup made stuffed peppers even better
"Have you ever tasted ground turkey?" asked Jane Pupis. "I hadn't till last year because I didn't like the way it looked, but it's really tasty." "Don't judge a book by its cover," quickly replied Ciara German. We then reminded them that they must take at least two tastes of every food. So, after the chopping, slicing and sautéing, we ended up with our turkey and bean stuffed red and green peppers, a new slaw and cut-up carrots (left over from the slaw) and hummus. A very colorful, tasty meal for all. Mia Cooper and Tim Kelso liked the red peppers, Julia Bieneman preferred the green peppers and Rosayah Greer would skip the peppers and just eat the filling. However, everyone liked the taco sauce that we substituted for ketchup.
