Philadelphia's running community is booming! We're home to the largest 10-mile race in the country. We've got 30+ running clubs and more weekend 5Ks than you can even imagine. Our runners are unbelievably creative (Hello, Rocky 50K) and remarkably selfless (Back on My Feet, you guys are awesome). That's why we're devoting this blog to you, the fabulous runners in the City of Brotherly Love.

In the coming weeks, we'll preview tons of local races from 5Ks to marathons, keep you up-to-date on new options to add to your race calendar and share registration discounts with our readers. We'll offer live coverage of our city's premiere races like the Broad Street 10-Miler and the Gore-Tex Philadelphia Marathon. Our columnists will explore hot topics like what it means to be a runner, road etiquette, and even the great debate on running with headphones (yay or nay?).

We'll also field your questions on everything and anything you want to know about running.

Got foot pain? Our ABC certified Pedorthist has some tips.
Still unclear about why races have to be capped? Our Race Directors will fill you in on the logistics behind that.
What the heck is a fartlek? Our RRCA certified running coaches will help you incorporate these training runs into your program.
