The buzzing of tattoo guns joined live rockabilly music at the TLA on Monday night during "Booze and Tattoos: The Wildest Party on South Street."

Tattoo artists from around the area delivered ink to eager attendees and sideshow artists provided interesting entertainment. Guests showed off their own ink in a competition for best tattoo in several different categories. Dietz Hopson thought the event's tagline might have been a little misleading. "It's a lot less crazy than I thought it would be, I thought Suicide Girls would be running around everywhere but it's a lot more tame than that."

Despite the calmness of the night, Hopson says she was still glad to attend. "It's important that [tattoo] artists get recognized," he said.
