There was an emotional reunion amid the rubble in Baghdad today between an Iraqi man and his dog - both of whom were believed to have died in a huge bomb blast. That's Farouq Omar Muhei rescuing his dog, Liza, from the rooftop precipice where she was stranded after Omar's house collapsed in the explosion.

Omar told the Associated Press that he said to his son, as they crawled from beneath their house, that he was certain his dog was dead. The bombing Tuesday was part of a series of coordinated attacks that claimed 127 lives.

Liza, a shepherd-mix, appeared to be unharmed and shook with joy when her owner appeared. Omar suffered from only a few cuts and minor injuries. More from the Associated Press here.
