Tortoise returns home after two-county odyssey

An African tortoise who escaped from a Chester Springs home a week ago is safe after being picked up by a Good Samaritan and taken to a reptile rescue in Lancaster County.

Nala, a 52-pound sulcata tortoise, disappeared through an open gate last week, touching off a frantic search for the wandering reptile. My colleague Peter Mucha has the story.
