Kevin Slowey gets second start of spring

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Kevin Slowey's spring training audition continues Sunday when the righthander starts for the Phillies on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The 30-year-old started last week against the Yankees. He pitched two scoreless innings, allowed one hit, and struck out two batters. Slowey has a chance to stick with the Phillies as a starter or long reliever. He played 17 games last season with Miami, but was released in June. Slowey declined offers to join other clubs because his wife was five-months pregnant at the time. She gave birth to the couple's first child in November. Slowey signed a month later with the Phillies.

Odubel Herrera, who has played exclusively in center field this spring, will start at second base. He was an infielder when he was a minor leaguer with Texas.

Today's game starts at 1:05 p.m., but it will not be televised. Here's the lineup:

1. Ben Revere, centerfield

2. Odubel Herrera, second base

3. Domonic Brown, right field

4. Darin Ruf, first base

5. Grady Sizemore, left field

6. Maikel Franco, designated hitter

7. Cody Asche, third base

8. Tommy Joseph, catcher

9. Freddy Galvis, short stop
