The first car Bruce Springsteen ever bought — a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible — is for sale.

The current owner, Springsteen historian Michael Crane, has put the car on eBay, the Asbury Park Press reports.

Bidding was above the $100,000 mark as of lunchtime Wednesday.

The Boss bought the car for $2,000 in 1975.

"In '70s New Jersey, the car was still a powerful image," Springsteen wrote in his 1998 book "Songs," the APP notes. "That summer I bought my first set of wheels for $2,000. It was a '57 Chevy with dual, four-barrel carbs, a Hurst on the floor and orange flames spread across the hood."

He sold it in 1976 because it too noticeable and bought the 1960 Corvette that appears on the photo, taken in Haddonfield, that is on the cover of his latest book, "Born to Run."
