Man shot inside Grays Ferry food-processing company

A 58-year-old man was in stable condition Friday after he was shot once in the stomach and once in the left shoulder at the Northern Liberty Food Processors company in Grays Ferry, police said.

The shooting happened about 2:58 p.m. inside the building at 1400 Warfield St., near 34th and Wharton Streets and the Schuylkill Expressway.

The victim was taken by medics to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Police said no arrest has been made, and no further information was immediately available.

A voicemail left on the company's answering machine was not immediately returned Friday.
