A Burlington City man is wanted in the fatal stabbing of a woman with whom he had a child.
Authorities are looking for Rashon Causey, 38, in the Monday night stabbing death of Shanai Marshall, 37, of Mount Holly, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.
Marshall died after she was stabbed at her Mount Holly home just before midnight. Causey forced his way into the house on Monroe Street and attacked her, stabbing her several times, prosecutors said.
Causey and Marshall had a child together, prosecutors said. The office didn't disclose further details about their relationship.
Marshall was flown to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton but later died, prosecutors said.
Causey is being sought on charges that include first-degree murder, aggravated assault, burglary and weapons offenses.
