Iguodala heading to Philippines?

The Sixers' Andre Iguodala is among a group of NBA All-Stars who could be playing in exhibition games later this month in the Philippines, according to a report.

Citing sources, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that officials of Samahang Basketbol have made an offer for the NBA players to face Smart Gilas Pilipinas on July 25-26 at Araneta Coliseum.

Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Kevin Love and Mario Chalmers are among the players said to be invited, with the possibility of Blake Griffin joining.

A source said the games are being viewed as a treat for fans from the group's president Manny V. Pangilinan, who is celebrating his birthday on July 14. The invitation was sent at the start of the NBA lockout.

Smart Gilas won the Southeast Asian Basketball Association championship in Jakarta last month.

The players who make up the national team also are looking at international games before the FIBA Asia Championship on Sept. 15-25 in Wuhan, China, which offers the lone continental ticket to the 2012 London Olympics.
