Pennsville tight end-defensive end Rob Saulin, who originally made an oral commitment to Connecticut, will now be attending Temple. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Saulin has been recruited as a defensive end,.

"From the start I always wanted to go to Temple," Saulin said. "I committed early to UConn and that put me in a bind, but it came down to I love how Temple has turned the program around. I thought about it a long time and it is something I couldn't pass up."

As a junior Saulin helped lead Pennsville to the South Jersey Group 1 championship This year the Eagles were a playoff semifinalist and finished 8-3. Saulin had 84 tackles and two sacks. He also caught 20 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns.

Saulin, who is a member of the Pennsville basketball team, attended Temple's 37-10 win over East Carolina Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field that clinched the Owls the American Athletic Conference East Division title.

"I love the atmosphere," he said. "I am looking so forward to being part of the Temple program."
