Speedy left winger Petr Straka, who made a strong impression and had two assists over three games with the Flyers, was sent back to the Phantoms on Sunday.
That's an indication that Michael Raffl figures to return to the lineup Thursday against the Islanders. Raffl has been sidelined by an illness the last three games, and he took part in Sunday's practice in Voorhees.
Defenseman Nick Grossmann (shoulder) also is expected back Thursday.
Rookie center Scott Laughton (concussion) did not practice.
Timonen in limbo. No decision has been made on whether defenseman Kimmo Timonen, sidelined with blood clots in his leg, will return. GM Ron Hextall had said a decision would be made over the weekend, but all parties are still debating the issues.
Playoff chances. The Flyers now have a 3.3 percent chance of making the playoffs, up from 0.7 percent last week, according to Sports Club Stats.
The Flyers have won four straight, but are still nine points out of a playoff spot.
