Flyers called for icing

Tastykake and a local bakery have created a Stanley Cup replica out of carbohydrates.

How Tastykake got into the Flyers spirit:
It commissioned Bredenbeck's Bakery to create a 40-inch-tall replica of the Stanley Cup out of more than 1,000 pieces of cake -- Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, Butterscotch Krimpets Chocolate Juniors, and Koffee Kake Juniors.

Bredenbeck's Diana Anello, who showed it off this morning at the Comcast Center, says it took her and two assistants three hours -- mostly to unwrap the cakes -- to build the Stanley CupCake. It's set up on styrofoam.

The beast was disassembled and fed to the masses at the Wachovia Center.
