Mac and Dee of "Always Sunny" have a son

She went into labor at Dodger Stadium.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson are first-time parents.

Axel Lee McElhenney, 8 pounds, 7 ounces, was born Sept. 1.

Her rep says she went into labor at the Phillies-Dodgers in L.A. on Tuesday night. "As soon as Ryan Howard hit a three run home run, we felt comfortable leaving to go have our baby," Olson said in a statement released by her rep. "Axel Lee McElhenney was born at home on September 1st at 12:52 pm. 8 lbs 7oz. We love him like crazy, even though he made us miss the second half of the game."

Earlier this summer, while in town to shoot exteriors and to join in the opening festivities of Mac's Tavern in Old City, the Philly-raised McElhenney and Oregon-raised Olson talked with me about baby names. "We've narrowed them down to Milksteak Jellybean, Dumpster Boy, or Tobacco Mac," McElhenney said. "It's easy to work with this last name. You just need as many syllables as possible."

(Mac's mother, Helena, shuddered at that thought and said she just hoped her first grandchild would be healthy.)

McElhenney and Olson were married in September 2008.

The sixth season of Always Sunny premieres Sept. 16 on Fx. Olson's pregnancy has been written into the last half of the season.
