For the third year, Locust Moon Comics will host a comics expo, this one on Saturday, Oct. 25 with a day full of workshops, panels and artist meet and greets. Held at The Rotunda (4014 Walnut St.), the Locust Moon Comics Festival promises a day of niche entertainment, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Of the over 100 vendors, many will debut books and art — which you can get your hands on first — including 29 artists who collaborated on a Kickstarter-funded work "Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream."

Here's just a selection of this year's exhibitors:

  1. Dave Proch

  2. Jun Cen

  3. Kayla Miller

  4. Skuds McKinley

  5. Gideon Kendall

  6. Aimee Fleck

  7. Ian Parsons

  8. Rafer Roberts

Other notable attendees include Paul Pope ("Battling Boy"), Bill Sienkiewicz ("Elektra: Assassin"), Dean Haspiel ("The Alcoholic), Mark Schultz ("Xenozoic Tales") and more.

As for food, grab some goods from Kung Fu Hoagies, Tacos Don Memo and Little Baby's Ice Cream.

Additional programming, like said workshops and panels, will be held at the Locust Moon Comics store (34 S. 40th St.) and begin at noon. Kids can get introduced into the world of cartooning and characters with Laura Lee Gulledge and Mark Mariano from noon to 1 p.m.; hip-hop enthusiasts can hear a panel discussion on how elements of the musical genre bleed into comics from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.; inspiring artists can learn how to break into the industry at 2:30 p.m.; and take a journey into the minds of cartoonists for an hour at 4 p.m. The day rounds out with an after party and release party of "Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream" at 7 p.m.
