Delta Spirit, new album "History From Below" & upcoming show

Delta Spirit is the soulful, indie-rock group from Long Beach, CA. You may have seen them on tour with Cold War Kids a few years back or heard their infectious hit "Trashcan" on WXPN. Their second studio album "History From Below" is out tomorrow, June 8th and they're playing a show at the First Unitarian on July 2nd.

Delta Spirit is the soulful, indie-rock group from Long Beach, CA. You may have seen them on tour with Cold War Kids a few years back or heard their infectious hit "Trashcan" on WXPN. I originally caught these boys back in 2007 when they opened up for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! and they absolutely blew CYHSY out of the water! Their debut album "Ode To Sunshine" released in 2008 with mild hype, which really shocked me. These guys are amazing!

Since then, they've come and gone from Philadelphia a handful of times only to play sold out 21+ shows. In fact, the last time they were here, it was during that awful snowstorm in February and somehow they still made it out to Kung Fu Necktie and played a couple of songs. Well, Delta Spirit is finally back with new album "History From Below" available tomorrow June 8th, AND an all-ages show at the First Unitarian on July 2nd. I highly recommend seeing these guys live. They have a unique and powerful energy that you can see on-stage or through their recordings.
