John Legend and Chrissy Teigen get their own sitcom

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are the inspiration behind an in-the-works sitcom, tentatively called “Ordinary People,” after Legend’s Grammy-winning song.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have shared their relationship with their fans on the Internet since it became public. Teigen, a supermodel known for her quirky, clever and outspoken antics, and Penn grad Legend, her R&B crooner husband, were married in September 2013. They're the inspiration behind an in-the-works sitcom, tentatively called "Ordinary People," after Legend's Grammy-winning song by "Black-ish" creator Kenya Barris.

Barris spoke to BuzzFeed, saying the couple would even serve as the producers for his proposed sitcom.

The outwardly romantic superstar couple has done everything from publicly supporting social justice causes like Black Lives Matter to playing keep-away with chicken wings and Teigen's butt.

Talking to Buzzfeed, Barris said, "they're both super creative and super effusive and I'm just fans of them and everything they stand for." Barris said the show will feature an interracial couple similar to Teigen, who is of Norwegian and Thai descent, and Legend, who is black.

If the pilot is approved by ABC Studios, filming for the project will begin in February 2016.
