Did Lindsay come clean? Or was show sex, lies and videotape?

ALL THIS chatter about Lindsay Lohan turning her life around is making our head spin.

Like Linda Blair in "The Exorcist."

Lindsay's clearly learned the "recovery" talking points as recent TV talk-show appearances have shown, but as for heading down the track towards sobriety and an acting career? It still seems as if she's facing an oncoming train.

Take the latest bits of news:

The cigarette-smoky-voiced actress revealed that she suffered a miscarriage during the filming of the shooting of her OWN network documentary series chronicling her life after rehab.

"I had a miscarriage for those two weeks that I took off," Lindsay said in Sunday's finale of "Lindsay," saying that that was the explanation for her missing part of the shooting schedule.

"I couldn't move, I was sick," she said. "And, mentally, that messes with you."

Have to say, however, that Lindsay bounced back quickly. For most women, a miscarriage is a traumatic experience.

Not a TV show plotline.

* No word yet who the father-to-be was, but Lindsay says in a recent interview with KODE magazine that she's dating a wealthy, married father.

Gee, that always works out well. Just the type of low-key, low-stress relationship you want when you're trying to get clean.

According to London's Daily Mail, Lindsay was allegedly a little tipsy (a/k/a bombed) at the time of the interview.

And the KODE interviewer says that she also was drinking during the first weekend of Coachella.

The KODE article claims that Lindsay thought at Coachella that Mr. Married Father may have gotten her pregnant (and what better way to celebrate than with a plastic bottle of vodka), but it's unclear whether this is the same pregnancy that led to the miscarriage she spoke about on "Lindsay."

With all the different men (and women) Lindsay has, by her own account, had sex with, one would think she might have mastered birth control by now.

* As for that miscarriage, RadarOnline.com reports that its source said that Lindsay "absolutely made it up."

The womb insider added, "Lindsay was never pregnant during filming the reality show for OWN, or in the months after.

"Lindsay knew she was being perceived as a total slacker, not showing up on time for photo shoots, call times and refusing to shoot. So this is what Lindsay does. She lies!

"Her family and friends had no clue about her 'pregnancy' and subsequent miscarriage. Lindsay is once again her own worst enemy."

And all those cigarettes and alcoholic beverages would have been her baby's worst enemy.

TATTBITS

* Congratulations to Sumner Redstone, the 90-year-old chairman of Viacom and executive chairman of CBS.

According to TheWrap.com, Redstone was the highest paid media exec last year, earning a tad more than $93 million. (The tad is more than we make in six years.)

Because of his fine work at CBS, Sumner got a raise of nearly 83 percent last year. TheWrap says he also got an additional $36.2 million for Viacom, where nearly $26 million of his number came in changes to his pension plan.

Huh? He's 90 years old and worth more than $6 billion, says Forbes. While private-sector workers are watching their pensions disappear thanks to mismanagement and corporate bankruptcies, it's nice to see that the billionaire's is safe.

* The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences announced yesterday that Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will return to produce the 87th annual Academy Awards. The two were responsible for the 2013 show hosted by Seth MacFarlane and this year's telecast starring Ellen DeGeneres.

Academy chief Dawn Hudson said Zadan and Meron "are masters at tapping into the zeitgeist."

And tap dancing into the zeitgeist.

The 87th Oscars will be held Feb. 22, 2015, at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre. Here's hoping the zeitgeist by then will be brevity.

John Travolta will appear during the 15th International Indian Film Academy awards, in Tampa.

Organizers of the event said yesterday that Travolta will receive the "Most Popular All-Time International Star in India" at the awards ceremony.

The awards, making their debut in the United States, will be held tomorrow through Saturday at various venues in Tampa.

Tomorrow through Saturday? We thought the Oscars were long.

* HBO is renewing Mike Judge's "Silicon Valley" for a second season, the premium cable channel said yesterday. "Veep" is being renewed for a fourth season.

"Game of Thrones" will be brought back for a fifth and sixth seasons - or 12,432 more murders, beheadings, hangings and poisonings.

* TheWrap.com, however, reports that Discovery has canceled its planned "Everest Jump Live."

An avalanche on Mt. Everest Friday killed 13 people.

"In light of the overwhelming tragedy at Mt. Everest and respect for the families of the fallen, Discovery Channel will not be going forward with 'Everest Jump Live.' Our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Sherpa community," the network said in a statement.

The planned 2-hour event special was to chronicle climber Joby Ogwyn's journey to the summit.

Ogwyn, who was at Everest at the time of the deadly avalanche, assisted with the rescue efforts.

Our guess is that "Expedition Everest" at Disney World is a lot safer.
