Reading readiness evaluations will be offered for children who are eligible for kindergarten or will be five years old by September 1, 2007. The 30-minute sessions at the Crossroads School will include a 20-minute one-on-one reading evaluation with School Psychologist Jennifer Cordivari followed by a 10-minute discussion with parents. A weekend of living history reenactments at Valley Forge will demonstrate the hardships faced by those living in the colonial-era military encampment at the time of the revolution. Washington and Lafayette will celebrate the 229th anniversary of the French Alliance by describing the importance of their arrangement and its influence over the outcome of the American Revolution. Living history actors will also portray officers, enlisted men, women and children sharing their experiences.
