Paris Hilton

must serve 45 days in Los Angeles County jail on charges she violated her probation from an alcohol-related reckless-driving conviction last year, a judge in California ruled yesterday.

Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ordered Hilton, 26, to report to jail June 5. He also refused any arrangement - work release, furlough, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring - that would keep Hilton out of the county lockup. If Hilton does not surrender as ordered, the sentence will be increased to 90 days.

Authorities said Hilton violated her probation twice, in January and February, by driving on a suspended license and failing to enroll in a court-ordered alcohol abuse program.

Hilton, who arrived 10 minutes late for the hearing, told the judge she didn't realize her license had been suspended.

Celeb Web site TMZ.com reported that a tearful Hilton told Sauer before he announced his decision: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

DUI charge for Eve

Los Angeles prosecutors yesterday filed misdemeanor charges against

Eve

(née

Eve Jihan Jeffers

), including driving under the influence and failing to provide proof of insurance, stemming from an incident last week when the rapper crashed her gold Maserati into a divider on Hollywood Boulevard.

The Philly native, who will be arraigned May 17, faces a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Goodbye, cruel world . . .

". . . I'm leaving you. . ./ Goodbye all you people / There's nothing you can say / To make me change my mind."

So sings the CW to its Gilmore Girls, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, who brought dignity, charm, humor, spunk, spark and sparkle to their roles on the dramedy as a fiercely independent mother and her fiercely independent daughter. The show has been killed after seven years. The girls promised a classy set of farewell shows.

Grey's Anatomy

star

Kate Walsh

, who plays Dr. McDreamy's sometimes estranged, reconciled, divorced or current wife (which is it this week?) with such sexy angst, has acquired a real-life love life. People mag says Walsh is seeing

Alex Young

, a "hotshot" production co-prez at 20th Century Fox, who goes through multi-gazillion Hollywood pictures like you and I go through bathroom tissue.

What does Walsh want out of love?

Laying down the basic politically correct lie women feel compelled to give, Walsh told Life mag a while back, "I don't need someone with a hot body. . . . It's very much about style and substance and humor, interest, curiosity and really being smart."

People also says the romance between

Heather Locklear

and

Jack Wagner

, who once starred opposite each other in

Melrose Place

, is on, so on, it's hot.

Anon sources said the couple are "playful" and have been seen "getting cozy." Another invisible source said Heather "is in a really good place," and that it is pleasant to see her with someone "who appreciates her."
