It didn't hurt that Neil G. Uspal's first Jeopardy! game included the category "Body Works."
Uspal, a physician who did a fellowship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and now works in Seattle, made short work of questions about white blood cells, rotator cuffs, and the Achilles tendon.
He won that game, which was broadcast Thursday, then followed on Friday with a second victory, bringing his total winnings to $25,400, according to fan site j-archive.com.
His attempt at a third straight win will be shown Monday night, locally at 7 p.m. on Channel 6 ABC.
Uspal grew up in the Reading area and attended Penn State as an undergraduate. He went to medical school at the University of Pittsburgh.
He now works at Seattle Children's Hospital in the field of emergency medicine.
Though he is sharp on medicine, he may be in trouble if country music comes up again.
That category tripped him up in the Final Jeopardy! round of Friday's game.
Correct response: Dolly Parton, who was referring to her album titled Pure & Simple.
