Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve, near New Hope, will offer winter native plant walks on Jan. 9 and 30 from 1 to 2 p.m., with volunteer naturalist Mary Anne Borge.

Registration is required; call 215-862-2924 no later than the day before each walk. Members $4, nonmembers $6.

Borge also will be part of the preserve's Winter Lecture Series, with a talk on Jan. 17 titled "Natural Treasure in Every Season."

John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, 8601 Lindbergh Blvd., plans a Birds, Trees and Flowers walk with Tom Reeves on Jan. 23 and Feb. 6 at 9 a.m. Dick Cloud will lead a flower walk on Jan. 9 at 1:30 p.m.

All events start at the visitor center and can last up to three hours. They're free; no registration required.

Tyler Arboretum, near Media, hosts wildflower botany walks on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with naturalists Richard Brenner and Dick Cloud. No registration required.

Free with admission: nonmember adults (16 to 64), $7; nonmember seniors, $6; nonmember children (3-15), $4. Arboretum members and children under 3 admitted free.
