Catya Washington, the Philly-born "bad girl" and former reality-television star, yesterday was ordered to stand trial - again.
This time for aggravated assault, robbery while inflicting serious bodily injury, conspiracy, theft and related counts for an Aug. 18 traffic incident that allegedly turned into a beat down for the other motorist.
Washington, 24, who this year starred in the fifth season of the Oxygen Network's highly rated show "Bad Girls Club," is out on bail. Municipal Judge Bradley K. Moss set her formal arraignment date for Jan. 4.
Washington, who also models swimsuits and has appeared in hip-hop music videos, was ordered to stand trial in a separate case last month for allegedly carrying an illegal handgun and possession of drugs. That case stemmed from a Nov. 2 arrest at a Center City apartment building.
The aggravated-assault case grew from an incident in which Washington allegedly rammed her car into the rear bumper of a car being driven by the wife of a man she was allegedly dating at the time, according to TMZ.com, the celebrity gossip website.
After the women got out of their cars, Washington allegedly struck the other woman repeatedly in the face with a chain and sprayed her with pepper spray, law-enforcement sources told the website.
Police caught up to Washington on Oct. 18, when she was arrested, court records show.
In a third case, Washington is scheduled to have a summary trial in community court in April for her involvement in a fight, for which she was arrested in July, according to the court records.
Washington's greatest claim to fame, "Bad Girls Club," chronicles the lives of seven women with "explosive personalities," who constantly clash and stab each other in the back while living together for four months, according to the show's website.
