Maybe they should rename it the Penn State Relays - at least for the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon.

Penn State's Chris Morrisey, Shawn Colligan and James Myles finished 1-2-3 in the decathlon. Likewise, Penn State's Gayle Hunter and Amy Strouse went 1-2 in the hepthatlon. Both 2-day competitions finished yesterday at Franklin Field.

Morrisey totaled 7,014 points, Colligan 6,781 and Myles 6,391 in sweeping the top three spots in the six-man, 10-event field. Hunter scored 5,606 points and Strouse 4,919 to top the 10-woman, seven-event field.

Both Morrisey and Hunter were leaders after Tuesday's first day of competition.

Hunter finished first in five of the seven heptathlon events, while Morrisey won just two decathlon events, the high jump and pole vault, but placed second in four others. *
