The Kixx got just one goal last night and lost their third consecutive game in the Major Indoor Soccer League, falling to the Chicago Storm, 9-2, at the Wachovia Spectrum.
The defending league champions got a two-point goal from Pat Morris early in the third quarter to tie the game, 2-2.
But nothing went right after that and the Kixx fell to 2-7 while Chicago improved to 6-1.
Mariano Bollella scored just 51 seconds into the game, and that held up for a 2-0 Chicago lead into halftime.
With just 58 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Stephen Armstrong gave the Storm the lead for good with his fifth goal of the season. Bollella got the assist.
