THREE MONTHS ago, I would have told you that a 10-point spread in favor of Dallas against the Eagles was ridiculous, that Donovan McNabb would put TDs on the board against this secondary, that Jim Johnson would find a way to confuse Tony Romo, the way he did at Texas Stadium last Christmas.

An awful lot has happened in those 3 months.

Now, this looks almost like last month's New England game, going in, except the Eagles really don't have the chance to save their season anymore, as they tried to do that night in Foxborough. If there is any consolation, it's that the debacle is almost over, and maybe we're closer to getting some real answers about why a team that should have contended didn't come close.

Cowboys 30, Eagles 10.
