Steve Downie scored twice, while Jesse Boulerice, Triston Grant, Darroll Powe and Pete Zingoni scored one apiece as the Phantoms beat host Norfolk, 6-3, in an American Hockey League game last night.
It was Boulerice's first appearance of the season for the Phantoms, coming a little less than 2 weeks after he became eligible to play in the AHL following an NHL-imposed suspension.
Scott Munroe got the win for the Phantoms with 23 saves on 26 shots. Jonathan Boutin took the loss with 13 saves on 18 shots over the first two periods before Ryan Munce relieved him. *
