Shoot-out goals by Alexandre Picard and Darren Reid helped the Phantoms beat the Binghamton Senators, 3-2, last night in an AHL game at the Wachovia Spectrum.

Jared Ross tied the game, 2-2, at 6 minutes, 23 seconds of the third period for the Phantoms (22-8-1) after Binghamton had taken the lead on Shawn Weller's goal 25 seconds into the period.

The Senators (15-13-3) had taken the first-period lead before the Phantoms' Oskars Bartulis tied it at 17:23 of the period.

Phantoms goalie Brian Boucher ended up with 23 saves on 25 shots in regulation and four of five stops in the shoot-out. Jeff Glass took the loss with 29 saves on 31 Phantoms attempts, and had a three-for-five performance in the extra time.

The Phantoms have beaten Binghamton in 11 consecutive meetings dating from March 2006. They have 45 points and increased their East Division lead over the Albany River Rats to seven points.

They will visit Albany tonight before stopping in Hershey to play the Bears on Monday night.
