WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - Five La Salle players scored in double figures, including three with 14 points each, as the Explorers defeated Hartford, 70-64, yesterday at Chase Arena at Reich Family Pavilion.

Kimmani Barrett, Rodney Green and Ruben Guillandreaux each scored 14 for La Salle (4-3), which extended its winning streak to three games.

"We felt they were a good three-point shooting team and we made it our focus to prevent them from beating us from beyond the arc," Explorers coach John Giannini said.

The Explorers hit eight free throws in the final 2 minutes, 27 seconds to preserve their victory.

Morgan Sabia led Hartford (3-6) with 17 points, and Joe Zeglinski, an Archbishop Ryan graduate, contributed 12 points.
