Irish's Mallory out.

Notre Dame guard Brittany Mallory is out for the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee.

The sophomore guard was injured in the overtime period of a 63-59 loss at Michigan on Wednesday night.

Notre Dame confirmed the injury yesterday after an MRI exam on Thursday.

Mallory played in seven games this season for the eighth-ranked Irish, few enough to place her within the NCAA guidelines for medical redshirt status.
