Goalie Adam Munro made 27 saves to lead the Toronto Marlies to a 3-0 win over the Phantoms last night in an AHL game at the Wachovia Spectrum.
Tim Stapleton and Jaime Sifers scored in the first period for Toronto and the Marlies added an insurance score in the second period by Ryan Hamilton.
Scott Munroe stopped 24 of 27 shots take the loss.
The Phantoms (36-29-2-4) are in fifth place in the East Division with 78 points, trailing Binghamton, which also lost last night, by six points for the last playoff spot.
Toronto (36-28-3-6) has 81 points in fourth place in the North Division.
The Phantoms will remain home tonight to host the Grand Rapids Griffins.
