Tony  La Russa and Twitter have reached a settlement in his lawsuit against the company. The Cardinals manager sued Twitter because someone created a fake account in his name that "damaged his reputation" and caused him "emotional distress." Twitter will pay his legal fees and make a donation to his Animal Rescue Foundation.

Considering Twitter will remove fake accounts if asked, do you think La Russa went about this the right way? And is anyone else tired of hearing about Twitter yet?

Not a La Russa fan, but bully for him for taking on those who enable the nameless, faceless cyber-assassins who don't have the cojones to put their names on their cheap handiwork.

La Russa might not have gone about this the right way, but he got something out of it, so I'm sure he thinks he did. And considering all the fake Twitter accounts that are out there - impersonators of Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, Asante Samuel, and Trent Cole, just to name a few local examples - Twitter could go under if every sports figure sued them. Maybe that'd be a good thing.

As I see it, Twitter isn't going anywhere. It's only going to expand, possibly with a TV show, because, you know, there's not enough bad reality TV out there. So you need to get with it, John.

Gonzo, why don't you conjugate the word Twitter?

I'm not big on Twitter - mainly because you can't get away from it these days. Everyone uses it and/or talks about it, and it gives me a headache.

Conjugate? That's when prisoners get to have relations with a visitor, right?
