Gabriela Marginean scored a game-high 26 points to give Drexel a narrow 71-69 edge over Saint Joseph's in women's basketball action at Hagan Arena yesterday.

Marginean - who shot 11-for-11 from the free throw line - and the Dragons (4-3) fought off a 51-point second-half rally from the Hawks (3-7), led by Mariame Djouara (12).

Drexel will host Princeton at the DAC this Thursday at 7, while Saint Joseph's is off until Dec. 22 when it hosts Old Dominion.

In another game:

* Elena Delle Donne scored 17 to lift Delaware past visiting La Salle, 54-46.

Tesia Harris added 16 points as the Blue Hens (6-3) won their fifth straight home game dating back to last year. Jamie Harris (17 points) led La Salle (2-7), which committed 21 turnovers.

Both teams return to action on Dec. 22 with Delaware hosting Buffalo at 6 p.m. while La Salle welcomes Villanova to the Tom Gola Arena for a 1 p.m. contest.
