Editors rank Philly.com in Top 10 Web sites

The Web site of the Daily News and Inquirer, Philly.com, has won a Top 10 award by the Associated Press Sports Editors.

, Philly.com, has won a Top 10 award by the Associated Press Sports Editors.

It was the first year Web sites have been judged by the national sports editors.

Philly.com's sports site was voted one of the best Web sites with more than 1 million unique visitors. There also was judging for Web sites with less than 1 million unique visitors.

The judging was done by a panel of APSE members. The APSE started honoring the best sports sections and sports writing in 1981.

Here are the other newspaper Web sites in the Top 10: Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, New York Daily News, New York Times, The Oklahoman (Oklahoma City), St. Petersburg Times, USA Today and Washington Post. *
