Dolphins 10, Jets 6
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Six days after getting flattened, New York was just plain flat. Miami wasn't much better but kept its playoff hopes alive by turning two early turnovers into points in the victory at soggy New Meadowlands Stadium.
Much of the game was played in a downpour and the Dolphins (7-5) gained 132 yards, with Chad Henne passing for only 55.
The Jets (9-4) were coming off an embarrassing 45-3 loss at New England on Monday night and coach Rex Ryan admitted he considered benching Mark Sanchez in the third quarter as the second-year quarterback struggled for the third straight week. Sanchez (17 for 44) was sacked six times and fumbled four.
